Welcome to Fleur de Lys Films, I’m Rhys a Documentary Wedding Videographer based in South Wales and local to the Cotswolds, Cardiff, Cheltenham, Bristol, and Hereford.

The best moments of your day are real and not staged. Therefore we like to take a documentary style approach when it comes to filming your wedding day. This documentary approach allows couples to feel relaxed in front of the camera and enjoy the day. We will capture all aspects of your wedding day whilst remaining in the background.

The Cotswolds is a beautiful place in the UK to get married. I got married there myself in 2019 at the amazing Stone Barn wedding venue. There are plenty of venues to choose from that all give that Cotswolds barn vibe, such as Lapstone Barn, Cripps Barn, Hyde House, Mickleton Hills Farm, and many more!

Although I’m based in South Wales I’m only a one-hour drive from most Cotswolds wedding venues, making it one of my favorite locations to film weddings.

Rhys captured our wedding in the most beautiful way, and we absolutely loved our short film which he created. Incorporating both our Korean and English heritage, he produced the most thoughtful film for us and we couldn’t be more grateful. Having a videographer is often the one thing which couples are undecided about (and initially we were too) but I can confidently say this was one of the best choice we made for our wedding and we are so happy to have chosen Fleur de Lys Films to capture our day.

We can’t thank Rhys enough. Our wedding video is exactly what we wanted and more. The day was captured perfectly with such care and the most beautiful shots. The wedding speeches and ceremony were also edited wonderfully. The level of service, communication and end product are all exceptional. Rhys professionalism and chill vibe also made it a joy to have him there on the wedding day – he was discreet during the church service and just great to have around. The use of the drone was an added bonus and Rhys clearly took a lot of time to find the right music and ensure editing on the highlights video was in the style we wanted. We’ve just celebrated our first wedding anniversary and we’re still just as in love with our wedding videos as the day we received them. Rhys captured the fun, love and joy of our wedding day perfectly and translated that into an expertly edited set of films which all came back very quickly. In particular, you can tell that every clip in the short film has been thoughtfully and intentionally included to show an important family member, a special moment, or to capture the vibe of our day. It is like he read our minds on what and who we’d like to be included! We wouldn’t change a thing. We will cherish the videos for many years to come, as will those we have shared them with, who universally love them – even if they do keep causing tears!
